Please Don't Be Mad at the Beagle

Jiang Tianbai is lively, cheerful, full of energy, and especially good at getting on people's nerves.

Perhaps Heaven was helping him make the most of that talent, because he awakened an ability as a child: he could see an anger meter above people's heads.

Once the meter filled, the person would explode, shouting and losing control of their emotions. If they had a bad temper, like his dad, they'd pin him down and give him a hard spanking.

So Jiang Tianbai learned to pull back just as someone's anger was about to peak. He'd act impossibly well-behaved, leaving them unable to vent or swallow their anger, stuck there, simmering miserably.

After getting on the nerves of so many people, Jiang Tianbai became infamous. Even though he was handsome and delicate, with clear eyes and a sunny smile, he could never find a boyfriend.

When Xie Yun appeared, he had a meter over his head, too.

Later, every time he showed up in front of Jiang Tianbai, the meter climbed another notch from where it had been.

Jiang Tianbai: Seriously, is he that petty? It's been days and he's still not over it? And I didn't even bother him today, so why did his anger go up again?

Jiang Tianbai: Still, he's pretty good to me. He's a good guy... time to cuddle up.

And so Xie Yun's meter kept steadily rising, while their relationship somehow grew better and better.

The day Xie Yun's meter was just a tiny bit away from full, Jiang Tianbai shivered and thought, I wonder what elegant, refined Xie Yun looks like when he's furious. Someone who never gets angry must be terrifying when he finally blows up. Is he going to spank me like my own dad?

One morning, some time later.

Jiang Tianbai woke up in a big bed and rubbed his sore bottom in confusion.

Wait, could it be that the meter over Xie Yun's head wasn't an anger meter at all?!

The bottom, and the pairing is a lively, puppy-like guy with an emotionally steady top who thinks, "Everything he does is adorable." The couple are made for each other, a match written in the stars.
