Imperial examinations | Farming | Food

Lin Lang was at a loss. After twenty years of hard work, he transmigrated into a book and became a little husband to a fake young master who had climbed into someone’s bed.
When he opened his eyes, the fake young master, whose legs had been crippled, was being driven out of the house.
He immediately and resolutely took the fake young master back to the village.
There was only one reason: this fallen young master would become a powerful minister in the future.
“Want to come with me? I’ll take care of you.”
Looking at his handsome, appetizing face, Lin Lang was already dreaming happily.
He would rescue him in his hour of need, then help him return to his studies. Even if that didn’t earn him great merit, it would at least earn him some credit. If the man remembered this kindness and made things easier for him in this strange world, wouldn’t he be able to do whatever he pleased?

Song Zhizhang felt that his life was hopeless. He had been dutiful to his parents and respectful to his brothers, enjoying a comfortable life for over a decade. With the imperial examinations approaching and a bright future in sight, he was suddenly thrown out of the house and left with both legs disabled.
Even more ridiculous, after he was kicked out, this little husband was the only one willing to take him in.
There were two dilapidated rooms and three mu of poor farmland. Song Zhizhang still went home with Lin Lang. The little husband wove cloth, farmed, dug up wild vegetables, and cooked delicious food. He began to feel that life like this wasn’t so bad after all.
He even found him a doctor, who not only healed his legs but also helped him return to his studies.
Song Zhizhang couldn’t understand it. The little husband looked at him with clear eyes. “I don’t want anything from you. I’m keeping a detailed record of every coin I spend on you. Once you make it big, just pay me back.”
Later, Song Zhizhang lived up to expectations and rose to the highest ranks of the court, winning the emperor’s favor. At a palace banquet, someone brought up the husband he doted on endlessly.
He smiled as he looked back. It had all started with those debts he never wanted to pay off.
