Sweetwater Lane Diner

The sickly scholar of Sweetwater Lane died, leaving behind a young wife who had just married into the family and two children who were still little. Su Luo looked at the two kids clinging to her legs and crying, at a loss. She couldn't abandon them; it would weigh on her conscience. But if she took them in, she'd never been anyone's mother before.

Su Luo had transmigrated into the body of a penniless refugee, and at least now she had a home. Her late husband's ramshackle house was in a good location, perfect for opening a restaurant.

The Su Luo Restaurant doesn't take orders. The proprietress makes whatever she likes, and the customers eat it. She serves only two meals a day, with ten tables each time, yet the restaurant is always packed.

Wen Changzhou, the newly appointed county magistrate, wandered into the Su Luo Restaurant by chance and became a daily regular. Magistrate Wen is a newly graduated scholar, handsome and talented, with an excellent temper. He is still unmarried.

The two kids secretly set about finding their stepmother a husband. After comparing several candidates, they settled on Wen Changzhou, who came by to eat all the time.

With a smile, Magistrate Wen said, "My children have good taste. It's just that your mother doesn't seem to think much of me as a husband."

The innocent little ones thumped their chests and promised, "Don't worry, Father. We'll help you."

Su Luo: "Taking advantage of kids too. Shameless."
