In the winter of 2020, Qi Qing watched his lover, Liu Yin, die before his eyes. A police officer, he volunteered to take over the case and put himself in harm's way. There he met Lin Yan, a kindred spirit whose personality resembled Liu Yin's. Qi Qing often found himself gazing at him, lost in thought.
In the late spring of 2021, after countless hardships, the two infiltrated the organization and went undercover. Whenever they thought of giving up, they looked at Liu Yin's last belongings and found the resolve to carry on.
The bond between them ran deep. In Qi Qing's heart, Lin Yan had long since become Liu Yin, who had died. Lin Yan, too, often watched Qi Qing and sighed quietly.
In the end, working together, they found the person who had killed Liu Yin all those years ago. At dawn that day, the final bullet was fired, on the very anniversary of Liu Yin's death. Only after the killer was dead did Qi Qing finally understand it all.
