My Mr. Policeman

Xiao Tengjin, chief of a fire brigade's special operations unit. Zhang Yuzhou, head of the major crimes unit in the criminal investigation squad.

They hardly ever run into each other at work, but spend almost all their free time together.

Before responding to a call, one of them will send a quick message. If one finishes work and is passing by, he picks the other up. Whoever gets off first goes to find the other. They don't make a big deal of it.

They eat together, spend the night together, and do all the things couples do. They have everything a couple should have. No one outside knows.

Zhang Yuzhou tells him to come home, without saying much: "Come back tonight."

If Xiao Tengjin doesn't have a call to answer, his reply is quick too: "Okay."

They're both stubborn. They each handle their own work, and neither relies on the other in daily life.

But Xiao Tengjin never puts his phone on silent for Zhang Yuzhou. Zhang Yuzhou habitually takes a detour toward Xiao Tengjin's workplace whenever he drives, just to see him. If he gets caught, he still insists he wasn't trying to.

They could live apart, but neither has ever considered it.

It's possessiveness.
