Taming Sparrows

Older, dominant gong [Jin Boheng] x hot-tempered assassin shou [Wen Renyao], codename Xiao

Jin Boheng raises a fierce little bird named Wen Renyao.

Young, beautiful, with sharp claws and fangs, he is the most addictive poison Jin Boheng has ever concocted.

He indulges Wen Renyao in everything: his extravagant spending, his bad temper, and the milk laced with sleeping pills that he brings him every night.

Jin Boheng enjoys the illusion of his prey struggling in vain in the palm of his hand, patiently waiting for the day he is fully tamed.

Until Wen Renyao defects with the secrets and vanishes without a trace.

Facing the empty cage, Jin Boheng finally lets all his smiles fade.

A warrant spreads through both the underworld and the authorities: “Bring Wen Renyao back. Alive.”

He thinks it is still a game of cat and mouse.

But he doesn’t know that the bird he raised and tamed has already taken aim at his heart from the shadows.

This time, the poison Wen Renyao has concocted for him is a deadly toxin that pierces the heart and eats away at the bones.

I gave you my edge; you gave me your poison. In this game, who is whose true antidote?

You think you’re taming a canary, never realizing he’s an owl who has returned to claim your life.

Please don’t hate the characters or anything they do. You can hate me instead.
