It's been sixty-eight years since the Culling Game ended. You're an assistant supervisor, and your dream is to save enough for retirement and then retire in style.
Now there's a golden opportunity: the higher-ups promise you early retirement if you can find Yuji Itadori.
Of course you agree at once! Just as you're about to head downstairs and search every nearby pachinko parlor, you find yourself back sixty-eight years in the past.
This makes things even easier: you've found Yuji Itadori, a teenage Yuji Itadori.
You: "..."
What now? Just wait until sixty-eight years from now? Forget retirement: will you even be alive in sixty-eight years?
The teenage Yuji Itadori feels uncomfortable under your stare. Just as he's about to approach and ask you what's up, a horde of cursed spirits suddenly appears around you.
You instinctively raise a hand to call out to the teenage Yuji Itadori, but another pair of invisible hands covers yours, guiding you to press your palms together.
"Piercing Blood."
Yuji from sixty-eight years in the future lets go of your hands and rests one lightly on your shoulder, turning you toward his teenage self.
"All right, it's taken care of. Go say hi to me from sixty-eight years ago."
