[Football] After Reaching Peak Professionalism, the Whole Premier League Knows Me

Theodore Sharp, once one of England's brightest stars.

Nightclubs, parties, scandalous headlines... He traded his footballing talent for champagne and cash. Before he turned twenty, he already had enough ex-girlfriends to fill three starting lineups.

The result of all that partying?

Before he ever won a Ballon d'Or, he landed a contract in the Saudi Pro League.

Fans said he deserved it, and the media laughed at him as a clown.

A few fans felt sorry for him.

He shrugged. "Lots of money, not much work. What's not to like? Who cares?"

Until Theodore's private jet to Saudi Arabia plunged toward the sea.

In the last second of his life, he didn't choose to confess to God. Instead, he gently juggled a football.

When he opened his eyes again, he was back at the moment he'd just been promoted to the first team.

This time, he only wanted to play football properly and turn his life around.

Something calling itself the "Professionalism System" bound itself to him:

"To help you focus, this System is now active. You are yourself, and people can recognize you, only when you wear a jersey during training or a match."

"What about when I'm not wearing a jersey?"

"You're air."

"...What's my professionalism score right now?"

"800."

"That's not too bad, is it?"

"It's negative."

And so

Theodore sat in the locker room in his regular clothes, and Grealish mistook him for a staff member. "Who let this guy sit in Theo's spot?"

Ten minutes later, Theodore walked onto the training field in his jersey. Grealish threw an arm around him. "Theo! Some weirdo just took your seat!"

Theodore Sharp nodded slowly.

"Yeah, terrifying."

Starting from minus eight hundred,

he would make the whole world recognize his name even when he wasn't wearing a jersey.
