Xie Qingrang lowered her eyes and gently stroked Yin Xianyu's hair. Her expression unreadable, she said only, "All right."

That was, until Yin Xianyu stormed Lingzhan and saw all the disciples on Lingzhan Mountain calling her "Senior Sister" the sect leader.

Xuerong is a timid, gentle wolf demon. After moving to the city to find work, she ends up on the streets within three months.

With nowhere else to turn, she steels herself and takes a job at a psychic affairs agency, where she's responsible for communicating with demons. She's the only demon in the whole company, though, and if anyone discovers what she is, she'll be driven out of the city. Just showing them her terrifying true form would be enough.

And so the two "strangers," who can't stand the sight of each other at work, begin their secret life together.

In the morning, Duan Fei leaves for work, and Xuerong pretends she's just arrived, entering the office from another direction.

They meet in the elevator and nod expressionlessly. "Morning."

No one knows they slept in the same bed last night.

Duan Fei works late into the night, then sleepily pulls Xuerong into bed and mutters,

"Little wolf... always avoiding me."

Xuerong's whole cat-shaped body fluffs up like a dandelion.
