The Tang Dynasty Garrison's Family

Li Chun, a young man from modern times, transmigrates into the body of a minor branch of a minor branch of the Li clan of Longxi. He is a small landowner in the Jiuquan region who earned the rank of Deputy Commandant of the Guard, a ninth-rank, junior-grade military honorific, for helping deliver military intelligence. It is now the second year of the Kaiyuan era, 714 CE, and Emperor Xuanzong is already on the throne; 37 years remain until Gao Xianzhi's Battle of Talas, where 20,000 Tang soldiers face 200,000 foes; 41 years until the An Lushan Rebellion, when armies clash at Xiangji Temple and the loser is branded a rebel; 52 years until Guo Xin governs the Western Regions, beginning the tale of a lone city ten thousand li from home, defended by soldiers whose hair has all turned white; and... Li Chun doesn't know what lies ahead, but he knows he must work hard to change things. Once the Tang dynasty weakens, the land he now inhabits will become a tempting prize for the Tibetans, Uyghurs, Turks, Shatuo, and even the Tuyuhun! The Han people here... will face certain death! Theme: Every effort can shift the course of fate.
