A Note Beforehand: Modern alternate setting, slow-burn everyday life.
Synopsis:
Even as a little kid, Lu Rong was a handful. Unlike other boys, he was sensitive and fragile from the start.
He cried at everything: cartoons, TV dramas, even picture books and kids' anime.
His parents never knew why he was always crying, and before he started school, little Lu Rong couldn't explain the reason to them, either.
Later, he started kindergarten, but he still couldn't shake his habit of crying.
All the kids at Sunshine Kindergarten knew that Class One had a boy who cried all the time. It was a good thing he was cute, or nobody would have wanted to play with him.
After starting elementary school, little Lu Rong became a mischievous boy. But nobody could argue with him, because after just a couple of exchanges, tears would stream down his face and he'd sob as if his heart were breaking.
So for quite a long time, his classmates didn't like playing with him.
Who would want to play with a boy who loved to tease people, then burst into tears and cry endlessly when he got caught?
Little Lu Rong grew up through one struggle after another, shedding enough tears to drown an entire city.
By middle school, Lu Rong had grown into a handsome young man. He no longer cried in front of people, because he had become polite and accomplished. Everyone liked him, and nobody argued with him anymore.
But at night, he would still secretly cry under the covers because he missed his parents and his family.
Lu Rong really hated his tendency to cry uncontrollably. But no matter how hard he tried to control it, one moment of carelessness was all it took for him to lose face in front of everyone. Even a touching short video could make tears well in his eyes.
Then, by a twist of fate, Lu Rong entered the entertainment industry. To his surprise, his tendency to cry became an asset.
He could easily summon his emotions and deliver tearjerker performances that moved everyone.
His crying scenes became the highlight of his acting. In the end, he went from crying in web dramas to crying on the international stage, becoming a Grand Slam Best Actor and one of the world's ten most outstanding figures.
At the awards ceremony, he no longer tried to hide his natural tendency to cry. He smiled through his tears and thanked everyone.
