In the eyes of the world, they were all gold-diggers, mean girls, fake do-gooders, social climbers, socialites, tanks...
Here was a group of unfortunate women from the real world who, when the paranormal descended, became a pack of madwomen heading straight for the abyss.
Six girls with entirely different personalities boarded the same vehicle to survive. They had no choice but to work together and scrape by.
But in a vehicle full of people who were mostly out for themselves, could they really get along, stay united, and face the threats brought by supernatural events together?
Of course not!
For the first time, Xiang Ning, who had always been adept at navigating relationships, found herself struggling in the one area where she was supposed to excel.
Ever since she boarded, she faced the same problem every day:
If they didn't cooperate, they would die, but the people on board fought every single day.
If she gave it her all and forced them to stick together, these troublemakers could at least manage to cooperate.
At first, Xiang Ning thought they could keep going like that, bound together by external pressure despite being at odds beneath the surface. But one devastating blow after another soon followed.
It was only after they had collected more and more items and survived one paranormal event after another, when they thought they were about to return to the real world, that they finally realized the so-called return was nothing but an elaborate deception.
No one knew where this vehicle was headed, or whether they would still see their companions when they woke up the next day.
The six of them were like wicks, muddy and damp. Forced to catch fire, they still chose to burn fiercely, against all odds.
Until the end.
[Note: Not a female-power fantasy. The characters aren't purely kindhearted.]
Theme: Those who love to label others do so because they cannot climb the mountain, so they want to flatten it and shrink the gap between themselves and those they could never hope to catch up with.
