Don't Date Within Your Clique

Lan Zhao got a boyfriend.

His boyfriend was handsome, gentle, and in every way the kind of person Lan Zhao was looking for.

The only fly in the ointment was that his boyfriend had three childhood friends who always showed up to interrupt their dates.

Lan Zhao was often upset about it, but for his boyfriend's sake, he swallowed his unhappiness.

Then his boyfriend stood him up yet again because of that little friend group. On his way home, Lan Zhao trudged along in a foul mood, only to get hit by a car while crossing the street and lose consciousness.

While unconscious, Lan Zhao saw a book and learned that he and his boyfriend were the protagonists of a bittersweet danmei novel.

It was part of a series. In the author's previous novel, the boyfriend and one of his three friends had been childhood sweethearts with perfect chemistry, making countless readers ship them like crazy.

So when the author began a new story, both the readers and the male lead's best friends were deeply unhappy with Lan Zhao's existence.

To appease the readers, the author who created Lan Zhao set him up to face one trial after another. He had to endure all kinds of "bitterness" before he could finally get his happy ending with his boyfriend.

When Lan Zhao woke up, he saw his boyfriend sitting beside the bed, looking exhausted. Behind him, the three friends were looking at Lan Zhao with mocking eyes.

Lan Zhao looked at his boyfriend and calmly said, "Let's break up."
