Synopsis
Li Zhaoli was run over by a massive truck while saving a child who had rolled under its wheels. She was reincarnated in the world of cultivation, where she was bound to the "Fierce Girl from Heaven" System.
The System told her that if she saved the cultivation world, she could go home and receive a billion.
Li Zhaoli: "Save the world? Me?"
The System gave her a cheat: wherever she looked, she could see people's merit and sin scores.
Li Zhaoli: "666. Do you think that's the important part?"
The System said, "How about this? I'll give you some insurance, too. Even if you die halfway through, you can still go home and get five million."
Li Zhaoli's eyes lit up. "Now that's something I can stay awake for!"
Modern toilets, air conditioners, computers, video games... Your owner will be back to enjoy you with five million!
But then, at age sixteen, at the Red Dust Sect's selection for true disciples, Li Zhaoli stood before the Mirror of Past Lives and stared at the reflection of a red-robed demon whose murderous aura blazed, whose eyes were cold, and who looked every bit like a villainous final boss. She was completely dumbfounded.
A hundred years ago, the Red Lotus Calamity Lord wielded a terrifying demonic flame and brought chaos to the world. The entire cultivation world joined forces to gather and destroy her.
That battle went down in history as the "Karma Fire Heavenly Tribulation."
But good people die young, while evil lives on for a thousand years.
Before dying, the Red Lotus Calamity Lord laughed arrogantly and declared that a hundred years later she would be reborn among the righteous, blessed with supreme talent, and return to exact bloody vengeance on the righteous sects.
A hundred years passed in the blink of an eye, and the time for her reincarnation quietly arrived.
All the great, righteous sects of the cultivation world braced for disaster, their nerves on edge.
The Langhuan Academy, which led the immortal sects, issued an order for every sect to set up a Mirror of Past Lives. Whenever new disciples formally joined, they had to stand before a Dust-Reflecting Mirror to reveal their previous lives.
They did this for sixteen years, but nothing happened. All was peaceful, and no one found anything.
That is, until the unremarkable, half-righteous, half-demonic Red Dust Sect casually and perfunctorily set up a Mirror of Past Lives in front of its disciples.
Li Zhaoli, who had transmigrated here: System, save me QAQ
System: Of course! Your satisfaction is our priority. That's what after-sales service is for.
The Red Lotus Calamity Lord appeared in the mirror, looking down on everyone outside it.
Everyone at the Red Dust Sect: !!??!!
Li Zhaoli: I won't laugh again.jpg. System, you might as well have just sent me straight back to Earth.jpg
An old law left behind by Zhiwei Zhenjun, the second head of Langhuan Academy, was unearthed. The cultivation world was plunged into an academic debate over the question, "Does a person remain the same after reincarnation?" Li Zhaoli managed to stay alive for the time being.
She took the opportunity to go out and wander around, doing everything she could to cheat her way into a payout and get home.
All the disciples of the Red Dust Sect are trapped in a secret realm where no one can survive?
No one can survive!
She ignored the protests and jumped right in.
The demons are invading, and her companions are desperate in the face of enemies three cultivation realms stronger?
"Everyone, get back!" She set up a dueling barrier and said to the stunned enemy, "Only one of us is walking out of here alive today!"
An entire clan has been wiped out in a wrongful massacre, and a boy of mixed human and demon blood is roaring for revenge against the powerful immortal sects. No one dares stand up for him? Li Zhaoli immediately says, "I'll live and die with you today. I'll make sure you get justice!"
But why are the people around her looking at her with increasingly complicated expressions?
Zhiwei Zhenjun, one of Langhuan Academy's founders and its current head, had fulfilled his duty to Yu Mo. He died protecting his disciples in the war against the extraterrestrial demons.
But when he opened his eyes, a hundred years had passed. How had a wisp of his spirit ended up attached to a four-year-old girl?
And why was the little girl so certain he was a "golden finger" granted by some "System"?
As the girl grew up, her spirit began to resemble more and more the Red Lotus Calamity Lord, his most hated enemy in life. Zhiwei Zhenjun's feelings grew ever more complicated.
"Zhiwei Zhenjun, you're the best. You help me with everything."
"Zhiwei Zhenjun, how do you know everything? You're the greatest external brain!"
"We're a righteous team, with a shared golden finger!"
No.
Not at all.
If I really cared about you, I wouldn't watch you put yourself in danger time and time again, risking your life for justice. I wouldn't let you develop into someone so self-destructive without teaching you better.
Because, deep down, I hoped you would die before the mission was over...
But when that white light really did pierce the girl's chest, and she gave him one last helpless glance...
Why?
Why was he so furious? Why was he so remorseful? Why was he so grief-stricken?!!!
Her last words echoed in his ears, impossible to forget: "Don't be sad, Zhenjun. I'm finally going home..."
Regret was useless. Even if it cost him everything, he would bring her back to life and see her smile again!
