I'm an unlucky demonic cultivator. A beautiful disciple from an immortal sect tricked me into falling for him and into bed, then schemed to turn me into a mortal with no spiritual power.
Raising chickens, planting rice seedlings, growing vegetables. Five whole years passed, and I nearly forgot the days when I had ruled the Demon Realm. All I remembered was to harvest the wheat before the rainy season and clean up the chicken droppings often.
In the sixth year, a bloodied man fell into the village. The villagers brought him back and cleaned him up, revealing the face of the man who had tricked me into losing everything I owned.
The head of the immortal sect, the foremost sword cultivator of the younger generation, and the ex I couldn't forget.

First-person narration from the gong's perspective.
Not suitable for anyone with strong preferences for either lead. Gong-focused readers may find it uncomfortable (being honest here), and shou-focused readers may not enjoy it either (also being honest). The author's attribute is a poker.
The gong spent six years transforming his life in the countryside, stayed true to himself, and remained steadfastly lovesick. Even after losing everything, he was still a domestic, home-loving, gloomy crawler who washes underwear with a stony face. No matter what the shou does, as long as he says he had a good reason, the gong will even drink bitter medicine to get himself sorted out. A top-tier desperate husband: clingy, resentful, and devoted to domestic life all in one.
The shou has been calm and self-possessed throughout centuries of cultivation, but grew a love-brain as impregnable as a fortress for the gong. Even after losing everything, he still shelters him from the wind and rain and washes underwear with a stony face. A rule-abiding, well-bred model child who can't tolerate a grain of sand in his eye, except when it comes to the gong. A legendary double-standard wife who doesn't want to live without the gong.
Their feelings for each other are ridiculously strong. Neither gets a dramatic repentance arc, because the gong and shou take turns washing each other's underwear.
The plot is like a psychotic episode, while the romance is like a country bumpkin in a car crash, full of melodramatic twists.
Theme: Treat others sincerely
The introduction makes me feel so comfortable and I am seriously tasting it.
Hahahaha, it's so fun to attack the inner world
He! OK! I went to sleep contentedly!
