Sorry, I Married the Wrong Female Lord

Fictional setting unrelated to reality. Please do not compare it to real life.

Transmigration + mistaken marriage partner + married first, love later + secret identity + both transmigrate

[Blurb]

Naar never imagined that after dying, he would transmigrate into the insect world.

The good news was that he had become a male insect of exalted status. The bad news was that he was the lowest-ranked insect of all, an E-rank, and had been born without the pheromones that could soothe female insects.

But that wasn't even the worst part.

The worst part was that on his very first day after transmigrating, the System informed him that he was about to get married, to a low-ranking female insect.

His objections were useless, and in the end he could only steel himself and head to the spaceport to meet the female consort he'd never seen before.

According to the information sent to his optical computer, he identified a female insect who looked somewhat surprised: Zefania.

The other insect silently watched him for a moment, but eventually followed him home.

Several months later, Naar's male parent called and demanded, "How much longer are you going to put off your marriage?"

Naar looked over at the female consort on the sofa, who was obviously pregnant, and answered in confusion, "But I'm already married. My female consort is even carrying a youngling."

"Nonsense! Zefania came to our house with his male parent today and made a scene, saying you still haven't honored your engagement!"

"...What?"

On the sofa, the female consort, who had been listening quietly all along, slowly lifted his head and gave Naar a meaningful smile.

"Darling, haven't you figured it out yet?"

"The one you brought home back then wasn't your female consort at all."

Thanks for reading. This is a no-buffer, write-as-I-go story, and it does have quite a few shortcomings. I'll learn from them and improve in my next novel. If it's not to your taste, feel free to click away. Hope you enjoy reading.
