Cong Shan is an introverted, single man who went straight through his master's and doctoral studies. Quiet and honest, after graduation he got a job as an ordinary researcher at a biotech company.

During a company health check, he was suspected of having cancer.

Cong Shan went back to his hometown for the New Year.

One night, unable to sleep, he sat on a hilltop and made a wish on a shooting star that flashed by: He wanted to fall in love once before he died.

What he didn't know was that

it wasn't a shooting star, but an alien spacecraft that had lost its way and crashed.

An extraterrestrial male from the Snake Pillar Nebula attached himself to a male snake that had been run over and killed, taking on a physical form. He heard Cong Shan's wish.

“Bzz, bzz... Encountered a living, intelligent carbon-based organism of another species...”

“Strength: high; contamination: mild (treatable)... Assessment: suitable as a reproductive host...”

Cong Shan fell in love.

He felt that at long last, after a lifetime of bad luck, his lucky streak had finally begun.

His boyfriend was a quiet, mysterious, wealthy, incredibly handsome man who loved him, though he was a little strange.

In bed, he was always asking, “Would you be willing to have my child?”

Men can't get pregnant, Cong Shan thought.

Maybe it was a kink? Besides, caught up in the moment, he answered in a daze, “I will.”

A few years later, at a class reunion,

everyone was talking about Cong Shan's good fortune.

“I heard Cong Shan was hired as a professor by some prestigious university. He's the youngest in the school's history.”

“His latest research won a whole string of international awards! It was even nominated for the Nobel Prize, and all the leading media outlets say he's very likely to win.”

“His career took off after he married that rich husband of his. He has all the funding he could want.”

“Who is his husband, anyway?”

“They say being around his husband has made him glow, too. I remember him from school: drab and ordinary-looking. When I saw him in the news last time, I couldn't believe it was him. He was as beautiful as a celebrity.”

“But I saw some reporters' photos of him. He's so cold toward his husband in public, and he lives at the research institute instead of going home. People are saying he wants a divorce, ”

After bringing home his runaway partner yet again,

So he wound his snake tail around Cong Shan's legs and kept licking his face with his forked tongue.

His little human partner whimpered and trembled without stopping, and that part of him responded just as it always did.

It's more or less a story about a top who comes to Earth to find a wife, then opens a company and becomes a tycoon just to support his wife. His influence spreads across the world, and he goes all out to back his wife's career. Anyone who bullies his wife or tries to break up their little romance mysteriously disappears. As a result, he looks far too much like an apocalyptic villain and alien boss from a science-fiction story who is plotting to rule humanity...
