A Dream of Qi'an

An empress dowager's deathbed decree of marriage brought two "good-for-nothings" together.

Qi An, daughter of the former leader of the martial world, had been struck by the deadly poison "Mirror Moon." Her martial arts were gone, and every month she endured phantom agony that gnawed at her heart. In everyone's eyes, she was a living medicine vessel with little time left.

Chu Anting, former commander of the Imperial Guards, had been banished to the frontier after incurring the emperor's suspicion. He spent his days drinking, a withered husk of a man and a disgraced official mocked by all under Heaven.

The entire capital waited to see how this "weak-on-weak" couple would drag each other down in the bitter cold, ending in misery. At their first meeting, in front of a dilapidated residence in Hanzhou, she was pale as paper and frail, while he was bleary-eyed, drunk, and disheveled.

Theme: It's not about one person depending on the other, but about becoming each other's light.
