I Will Never Fail Jiangnan in This Life

He is Zhang Feiyang, a brilliant surgeon who has returned from studying abroad, born into a prominent family and dazzling in his success.

She is Jiang Xin, a progressive young woman studying at the foot of Mount Luojia, who depends on her brother, a revolutionary, for support.

A first-aid emergency beneath the cherry blossoms, an introduction arranged by her brother: as their country faces peril, two souls come to understand and cherish each other amid the flames of war. He promises her, "I will spend this life with you, guarding our misty Jiangnan together." She believes that, in such chaotic times, finding him is all she could ever need.

But the relentless tide of the times sweeps everything away. The warmest refuge becomes, in an instant, the sharpest blade.

"You... don't have to come south to Jiangnan looking for me."

"If I cannot see peace restored, then wherever my soul returns, it will face Jiangnan."
