Synopsis

One dream awakens Jiang Jiang's self-awareness.

It turns out he's a minor villain in a wealthy-family danmei novel.

Good news: His family is the third richest in the city. The first and second richest are the families of the male lead and his love interest.

Jiang Jiang: Once the male lead and his love interest get married and merge their families, my family will be second richest! A leap up the social ladder, let's go!

Bad news: This is a novel about the rich written by an impoverished elementary school student.

The male lead and his love interest, the richest and second-richest in the city, live in custom-built linked villas.

As the third-richest, Jiang Jiang lives in a small apartment in a residential building.

The male lead and his love interest eat at a 199-yuan all-you-can-eat seafood barbecue buffet. He eats at the cheaper 99-yuan buffet, which has no unlimited steak.

The male lead and his love interest wear clothes taken off the wall by a shop assistant. He wears clothes packed into plastic bags and bundled together.

The male lead and his love interest drive Baoma motorbikes. He rides a bicycle, puffing and pedaling all the way.

Jiang Jiang: Uh...

Writing the rich while being poor, no, no, no!

Another piece of good news: Even if everything else is substandard, the kindhearted little author has at least given him one thing...

A groveling, bootlicking butler from a wealthy family!

One quiet morning, Lu Xu, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Management, appears by Jiang Jiang's bedside in a tailcoat, his hair slicked back.

He speaks gently, wakes him up, and says he's a butler custom-made just for him.

The butler is fluent in eight languages, can fight, can box, and can ride a bicycle with Jiang Jiang on the back to school.

Jiang Jiang: OvO

The butler is skilled at both Chinese and Western cuisine, can sear steak and bake cakes, and can feed him all kinds of delicious food.

Jiang Jiang: >O<

A month later, the butler presents a bill: this month's salary is 100,000, payable in cash, by check, or by bank transfer.
