Since this is an Anko-style story, the plot direction and pairing dynamics are all uncertain, so I can't write a reader's guide to explain them. Please understand.

Character:
Male protagonist, 19, deceased (cause of death unknown, reason for being alive also unknown), taciturn, an oddball who expresses emotions unusually, but a good person (tag: kind).
High magic, high determination, looks 77. Maxed-out life skills. A Chaldea Master, with luck that's unquestionably E-rank. He has magic that can make anyone become Emiya (a meme-based description; see the story for the full details). Side effect: Servants he touches explode (a Fuyuki bomber). His type is selfless, self-effacing, white-haired Heroic Spirits. For some reason, everyone seems to like him (?).
Plot:
Fuyuki, 2004. When Chaldea explodes, the protagonist is transported to Fuyuki, shortly before the Holy Grail War begins (confirmed to be the one involving the previous director and Solomon).
After being attacked by the Rider team and summoning a Ruler, he survives and decides to investigate the Rider team and the Matou family, who attacked him. He settles on a strategy and heads to their home the next day, but Lancer Karna stops him.
Relationships:
Almost lured into the Church by the mapo tofu priest (affection: 85); Sakura sees him as "someone different from the people around her" and takes an interest in him (affection: 86); killed by Shinji and Rider (affection: 99 & 85); adopted and raised as a Master by Amakusa (affection: 94), who tries to instill in him the idea of saving humanity; the previous director treats him as an unlocker of the director's talent and spends money to bring him to Chaldea (affection: 99).
The only two healthy relationships are his mutual high affection with Director Karna (possibly because they both believe in Chaldea's mission). The one other normal person, his junior, only likes him at level 6 (even though the protagonist's affection for his junior is 94).
