The Senior Brother of the Immortal Sect

Since the dawn of time, the cultivation world has used six ranks to establish hierarchy, distinguish the noble from the common, and separate the immortal from the mortal:

Mortal Rank: Nine Qi Condensation stages, three Foundation Establishment trials.

Spirit Rank: Forming a Core and nurturing an embryo, shaping spiritual energy.

Earth Rank: Transforming the Spirit and refining the Void, sensing the earth's veins.

Heaven Rank: Uniting the Body and reaching Great Ascension, stirring celestial phenomena.

Immortal Rank: Surviving the tribulation and ascending, transcending the ordinary to become a sage.

Sage Rank: Shedding the mortal shell to become an immortal, touching eternity.

The difference between ranks is as vast as heaven and earth. High-ranked cultivators hold the power of life and death over those below them. This is an ironclad rule of the cultivation world. Resources, opportunities, and lineages all serve the rank system. Without reaching the Spirit Rank, one remains an ant. Without reaching the Heaven Rank, one can hardly be called powerful. Without reaching the Immortal Rank, one is nothing but a pawn.

In short, this is the story of a mediocre disciple of an immortal sect who has no choice but to prop up a dilapidated sect and work hard to find a senior disciple, only to become that senior disciple in the end.

Theme: Stand on your own two feet and refuse to be controlled by fate.
