Beyonders of the Sailor Pathway need to survive at sea, and mermaids need to survive at sea too;
Alger's singing is magical, and mermaids' singing is magical too,
so it makes perfect sense that Alger would be accidentally cursed into becoming a mermaid!
A Lord of the Mysteries fanfic, pairing: Derrick the Sun and Alger the Hanged Man. The order matters.
I read the original a long time ago, so there may be some inconsistencies. Please read with caution if you mind headcanons or out-of-character characterization.
Theme: True love overcomes every obstacle.
