After the Love Curse Failed, My Senior Sister Regretted It

Today is Senior Sister's wedding day.

I've confessed to her several times, only to hear her say: The Great Dao is heartless. She has no interest in love or marriage.

But... perhaps my sincerity finally warmed that heart of stone. One day, we spent the night together. I woke up full of joy, thinking everything was finally going the way it should, only to be told she had left the sect.

All I could do was stay behind and wait in misery...

Who knew that one day she'd send me a letter saying that night had been a mistake, and that she would soon marry someone else?

I hate it so much. I hate it so much. I hate it so much.

A voice kept howling in my heart. The creature calling itself the System screamed at me to destroy her foundation, break her wings, and make sure she belonged to me alone from then on.

Sadly, I didn't.

On her wedding day, my inner demon took control. I took her fiancee's place, lost myself in desire, and made love to her.

After that day, my mother died, and I willingly became her cultivation furnace. I trusted her, respected her, loved her, and it happened again and again... countless times.

At last... one night in bed, I couldn't stop crying. A trace of clarity returned to those murky, lightless eyes.

The next day, I cut down my inner demon and crippled my own cultivation. My body had always been frail, and now that I had lost the protection of both my mother and Senior Sister, I became a stray with nowhere to go, hiding from place to place.

Mortal lives are short. I hid in the mountains, but just before I died, I saw Senior Sister standing before me in a splendid red wedding dress. She was radiant and noble, while I was old and frail.

I heard a brief sigh. As I was dying, a Gu worm crawled out of my heart.

It was a love Gu.

I died and was reborn. So the inexplicable love I felt had all been caused by the worm. When I was reborn and saw Senior Sister again, it was the same familiar wedding scene. I...

I don't want to fall in love with you again.
