The King's Avatar: A Sucker Repeats the Same Mistake

Shi Xingchuan has always felt that his professional Glory career made him a complete sucker.

He thought friends had called him over to help settle a personal grudge, but the grudge turned out to be Fallen Petals in Disarray and Hundred Blossoms in Chaos.

He thought he was about to make another mortal enemy in the game, but instead they invited him to start a team with them.

He thought he'd just be a benchwarmer in the professional league, but the team took second place in its second year.

He thought he'd finally fallen in love with esports and decided to give it everything he had, fighting alongside his teammates, but then Sun Zheping retired because of a hand injury.

He thought that after coming in second twice, there was no way they could miss the championship a third time, but they still came in second.

The eighth season had just begun. The former captain and vice-captain of Hundred Blossoms, both retired, met up for a chat. Shi Xingchuan lit a cigarette for the first time in ages, watched it burn fitfully, and let out a long sigh:

"I think I hate Glory a little."

In short: an original female character story, a cringe-inducing work that flaunts its angst. If you don't like that, please click X. Thanks.

About the heroine:

* A professional summoner and one of the founding members of Hundred Blossoms. She takes over as vice-captain after Sun Zheping retires.

* Her skill puts her in the middle ranks among top-tier players, and she's a versatile support player.

* She has a sharp tongue (some of her barbs are outdated).

* Not a strong female lead.

Other notes:

* Timeline: Season Eight (with flashbacks to earlier events).

* Lots of original settings, lots of OOC.

* Male lead: Sun Zheping. A reunion after a long separation, rekindling an old romance (? There might not have been a romance to begin with.)
