Demon Slayer: Reference Notes

For my own use.

A collection of Breathing Styles, timelines, Taisho-era ramblings, trivia, and other things I put together for writing, as well as corrections and distinctions between canon and fanon. (I really did get fanon mixed up with canon before. Looks away.)

References: the manga, anime, official guidebooks, encyclopedias, and so on.

Feel free to point out any mistakes.

2026.5.24: I've finished putting things together for now. I'll see if there's anything else I want to organize later.

Also, just to be clear, I can't stand the ships Doma/Kotoha, Doma/Shinobu, Kaigaku/Zenitsu, and Zenitsu/Kaigaku. I'm not sure if I ever made ship-related comments about Doma/Kotoha or Doma/Shinobu before. I admit I shipped them based on their looks at one point, but I stopped after finishing the Demon Slayer manga. I feel bad for having thought that way about Miss Shinobu and Kotoha. Now they're ships I absolutely can't stand.

As for Kaigaku, I've hated him consistently from the start. I won't accept any attempts to whitewash him, excuses about his circumstances, or brainwashing fanon. None of it gets past the seven lives lost at the temple, Grandpa's seppuku, or Himejima's imprisonment.

Theme: Organizing reference material for writing.
