Every time the wolf beastman gets out of bed, Duoduo hugs his body, covered in red marks, and cries.
Duoduo: He wants it every day. I can't take it anymore. I want a divorce!
Unfortunately, before he can ask for a divorce, the wolf beastman meets with an accident and vanishes without a trace.
Just like that, Duoduo becomes a widowed female beastfolk. Without the wolf beastman, life is hard for him.
Just as Duoduo is thinking of finding a new husband, three beastmen who have long coveted him begin pursuing him passionately.
Husband 2, the red fox beastman: A master at giving emotional support. He has plenty of tricks, but is also considerate, bringing Duoduo pleasure without tiring or frightening him. He's especially good at giving compliments, and has eyes only for Duoduo.
Husband 3, the golden retriever beastman: Dependable, hardworking, and loyal. He brings Duoduo food and drink every day, diligently helps him with his chores, and always wears a silly, adorable grin. Just seeing him puts Duoduo in a good mood.
Husband 4, the moose beastman: Cunning, but too beautiful to give up. He's aloof and taciturn, yet has an impossibly gorgeous face. He deliberately uses his looks to make Duoduo swoon, tricking him into doing all sorts of things. Afterward, Duoduo realizes what happened, but can't bring himself to get angry when he sees that face.
Each of the three beastmen has his own charms, leaving Duoduo at a loss over whom to choose.

To spare Duoduo the difficult choice, the three beastmen fight fiercely behind his back, then reach an agreement: they will become Duoduo's seasonal husbands.

From then on, Duoduo has three husbands who never show up at the same time.
Until one day, the wolf beastman returns, covered in wounds.
Worried that his frail mate can't even take care of himself and might be suffering, the wolf beastman immediately goes looking for Duoduo, only to see his beloved mate acting coy in another male beastman's arms.
Wolf beastman: Damn it, someone's trying to steal what belongs to me!
The wolf beastman gets into a fierce fight with the other male, then two more male beastmen join in.
He is naturally beaten, and only then learns that all three male beastmen are his mate's seasonal husbands!
The wolf beastman rages helplessly: Then what does that make me?!

Duoduo hates how arrogant and quick-tempered the wolf beastman is, but the other man is still his husband. Besides, apart from making him suffer a little in bed, the wolf beastman has always treated him well.
But his three seasonal husbands treat him well, too.
His husbands force him to choose: if he has a husband, he can't have seasonal husbands; if he has seasonal husbands, he can't have a husband.
Duoduo is torn. He doesn't want to let any of them go, but they insist he choose.
Just as Duoduo decides to reject them all and find a new husband, the beastmen, sensing what he intends to do, suddenly make peace and divide Duoduo among themselves.
And so Duoduo ends up with husbands who take turns, one for each of the four quarters of the year.
Reader's Guide:
1. No scenes of everyone sharing a bed. The relationships are 1v1 in each phase. A seasonal husband: When the quarter ends, that husband-and-mate relationship automatically ends, and the next seasonal husband takes over. Seasonal husbands are an original setting created to serve the plot.
2. The husbands' current character types are: violent, sadistic husband (wolf); needy, scheming husband (fox); loyal puppy husband (dog); and aloof, calculating husband (deer). All husbands are sexually inexperienced.
3. This is a story I wrote to satisfy my own tastes. I really love stories about one female beastfolk with multiple male beastfolk in a beast world, but couldn't find any, so I had to make my own.
