[Harry Potter] Santa Baby (Original Female Character X Remus Lupin)

I want to tell a Christmas story, with you and me, mistletoe and a Christmas tree.

The record player spins and spins. The song is from a jazz record we both love.

Logs crackle in the fireplace, and stew simmers gently on the stove. You stand by the pot in an apron, while I lean against the glass window and watch the snow light up the night.

You say the Star of Bethlehem I hung with my own hands shines brighter than the angel lights, guiding a pair of lovers to be born beneath the tree.

People are always chattering about trivial things on those unremarkable days. But we're different. We live in the firelight, in a snow globe, and treat every day together like a celebration.

I love you, baby, with the fairy-tale certainty that Santa will bring gifts every year.

A product of daddy issues. Read or don't, as you please.

A Christmas special. I'm done with the angst! Let's just fall in love!
