[Harry Potter] When I Beheld the House of Usher (Original Female Character X Remus Lupin)

I still remember Remus reading Edgar Allan Poe to me when I was little: "When I first saw the House of Usher, an unbearable gloom swept over me. The crack in the wall held my gaze fast, urging me to look deeper."

"My soul trembled with the building in the cold wind. I could compare the melancholy in my heart to nothing earthly, save the emptiness of an addict waking from a midnight dream, the bitterness of sinking into an ordinary life, and the terror of a veil suddenly falling away."

"My heart was cold, and sank ever lower, churning endlessly, while an inescapable sorrow settled over me."

Though it was summer, the library was so cool. I climbed onto his lap, and my face was reflected in his eyes. Back then, I didn't understand what he meant, or the sorrow in his tear-filled eyes. Not until I grew up. And then I met him again.

Still a happy ending. Just writing a little something, and it'll be over soon. A product of the author's daddy issues. Read or don't, as you please.
