[Detective Conan / Police Academy Squad] Who Exactly Is Hiromitsu Morofushi?

Also known as: The Amnesiac Fake Booze Saves Himself Online

When Midorikawa Yui woke up in the ruins of an underground laboratory, all he could remember was that he was a sniper for an international criminal organization.

Cornered on a rooftop by Shuichi Akai, an undercover FBI agent, he chose to shoot himself in the heart.

By sheer luck, he survived and was bound to the [Manga Popularity System]. To unlock its functions and restore his memories, he had to become a popular character in a manga.

But there was a problem... The System had bound itself to the wrong person.

He wasn't Hiromitsu Morofushi.

He was a criminal who killed without batting an eye, yet the System wanted him to save police officers?

To that end, he secretly infiltrated the police academy's archives, but even after searching through all the records, he still couldn't find the System's true Host.

So... who exactly was Hiromitsu Morofushi?

*

Leaving the past behind, Midorikawa Yui decided to go with the flow and become a detective who worked part-time as a photographer.

But for some reason, those two cops who were practically joined at the hip were always circling around him?

Whenever a case came up, they even wanted him to help?

And then there was Bourbon, who wore a cafe employee's secret identity while pretending to be Kogoro Mori's apprentice, though in truth he was the organization's ace intelligence agent...

Not only did he often look at Yui with an inscrutable expression, he also kept restricting his freedom to go out, like an overprotective father.

He'd already gone straight. Now he was just a taciturn detective pretending to be mute. Could they please stop interfering with his life?

* I'll start writing once this gets over 100 favorites. I already have over 10,000 words drafted.

* No couples in the main story. The extras will cover what happens after the organization is defeated, and all canon couples will stay the same.

* The entire police academy group survives.

* This is inspired by the manga popularity trope and the System binding to the wrong person (and wrong timeline) trope.

* The cover was made on a character creator website.

Theme: Cherish life and save people from tragedy.
