Huh? Aren’t I the Yellow Immortal?

Songguo was a diligent household guardian spirit, firmly convinced that he could be the most dependable support for his benefactor, Lin Qinglan.

Although his spiritual power worked only some of the time, he drove out evil spirits by swinging a broom, protected the home by acting cute and clingy, and still occasionally sprouted fluffy ears and a tail when he transformed.

Songguo: No big deal. I'll just do my job and do it well.

That was until a group of real weasels pointed at him and called him a "fake with impure blood."

Songguo stared at his sleek, glossy fur and sank into thought. Wait, aren't I a weasel?

Later, when a mountain fire raged, his gentle, harmless benefactor, who was supposed to be the mountain guardian, summoned a vast rain from the heavens with a wave of his hand.

Songguo was shocked again. Wait, isn't he human?!

The little household guardian spirit's CPU was about to burn out from information overload.

So... what exactly was he? And what exactly was his benefactor?

He had been promised a secure job as a household guardian spirit, so why was he suddenly facing a career crisis?

The hidden mountain god simply smiled, wiped the soot from his face, and rubbed his little sable's silly ears.

"How about a new contract? Permanent mountain god consort, excellent benefits, starting immediately."
