Time Is of the Essence [Criminal Investigation]

A story about fighting fraud and money laundering: criminal police race against time, matching wits and battling scammers to recover stolen funds, in a high-stakes confrontation, more or less.

The anti-fraud center in City X receives reports of multiple large-scale scams, uncovering a vast criminal network laundering money through cryptocurrency and third-party payment platforms.

The police immediately form a joint task force and launch a two-pronged operation:

One team is led by Chu Jinyue of the criminal investigation division's anti-fraud unit. They confront the scammers head-on, racing against time to capture them.

The other is led by the head of the economic crimes division. They trace the money from the other end, determined to sever the network's financial lifeline and freeze the stolen funds.

I'm terrible at writing blurbs and can't think of what to write next... I'll add more when I have an idea. ()

The story is idealized: every stolen penny can be recovered.

But reality is cruel. Almost none of the money people are scammed out of can be recovered!! So remember:

Money doesn't grow on trees!!!

Money doesn't grow on trees!!!

Money doesn't grow on trees!!!

Don't click links from strangers! Paid task schemes and investment scams are all frauds!
