Across every dynasty and generation, strange phenomena appeared in the sky. A vast theatrical screen materialized overhead, and a voice rang out across heaven and earth:
"The first [Imperial Battle Royale] is about to begin. Emperors of every dynasty, please prepare. Countdown: 100, 99..."

The Imperial Battle Royale is a compulsory invitational tournament. Every emperor selected from each competition region must participate, while the people and the organizers jointly serve as judges.
Tournament Rules:
I. The tournament has two modes: PVP and PVE.
1-1. PVP includes free-for-all matches with multiple players, as well as various formats such as 1v1 and 2v2.
1-2. PVP opponents and teammates are other contestants from within the competition region, assigned randomly or by selection according to the format.
2-3. PVE opponents are generated through simulations by the organizers. Their source is not limited to the competition region.
II. An emperor's combat power in the tournament comes primarily from [Kindling].
2-1. [Kindling] is generally limited to the civilizations within the competition region and includes categories such as people, technology, and culture.
2-2. Different [Kindling] have different levels and effects. Figure them out for yourself.
2-3. ...
III. The tournament has weekly, monthly, seasonal, semiannual, and year-end stages, each with rewards. The rewards come from higher-dimensional ○○●○● and include [National Fate], [Rare Ores], [Disaster Immunity], [Portals], [Airships], [Ironclad Ships], and more.
IV. The tournament has a penalty system. After repeated losses, the judges will vote on whether to strip the contestant of the title of [Emperor].
4-1. If the title is revoked, the people will vote to choose a successor.
4-2. The successor takes office and continues competing.
[Final reminder: Your performance will be broadcast publicly across a span of five thousand years. Strive to win and take the competition seriously.]

· In the PVE setting of [The Upheaval of the Five Barbarians], Ying Zheng looks at the ten R-rank [Kindling] he drew and falls into deep thought over his only SR card: [Xu Fu].
· In a PVP free-for-all, Liu Che gets three gold cards in a ten-pull of his starting [Kindling]. He's delighted, until he sees his [Win Probability] plummeting.
[Su Shi], [Ouyang Xiu], [Sima Guang]... Is there something wrong with these three gold cards?
· After finally hitting the guaranteed gold draw for [Kindling], Zhao Gou is overjoyed. But one look at the card nearly makes him faint: SSR [Yue Fei].
His only high-quality card is Yue Fei. He doesn't know how strong it is, but he really doesn't want to use it. The cards he knows how to use well in real life are all R-rank. What should he do? Asking online, and in a hurry.
· Match complete. Simulated identity assigned: [Prince Chengli]. Zhu Yuanzhang: ?
Who is this? Isn't this an emperor simulator? Why did a prince get mixed in?

Reading Guide:
1. This is a parallel-universe story, entirely fictional and unrelated to real history.
2. The tournament has different "game modes." The most basic one is probably similar to the Jiangshan series in Xiaoshi's book: an emperor simulator.
3. The organizers' technology involves indescribable higher-dimensional science and technology, so supernatural content will appear, such as high-tech rewards and punishments for low-scoring emperors. These are certain to change the established course of events, so please don't read if that bothers you.
4. More to come if I think of anything.
Theme: Make up for regrets and put right what still weighs on the heart
