The golden-haired girl sinks into a deep sleep as soon as she lands on a soft, fluffy cloud.
"Is she asleep?" Usopp is horrified. "Right here? In the middle of the street?"
"It's not like this is the first time..." Nami rubs the girl's soft cheek and sighs, then calls loudly toward someone nearby:
"Zoro!"
A man about to enter an alley turns around. When he sees the girl sprawled on a cloud in midair, he rubs his head and walks over with an annoyed look.
"How did she fall asleep again?" His voice is full of complaint, but the way he instinctively reaches out to fix her hair is exceptionally careful and gentle, as if he's rehearsed it tens of thousands of times.
"Lia!!" A loud, energetic shout comes from far away. Everyone's expression changes at once. Hearing the sound of rubber snapping, Nami and Usopp promptly step aside.
The next second, their thoughtless captain has already jumped right in front of them. He adjusts the hat on his head and looks around.
"Huh? Where's Lia?"
The other three point to the sky in unison. The cloud automatically dodges, carrying the girl slowly upward. Her long hair flows down like a golden ocean.
The four look up. After a few seconds of silence, they cry out in alarm.
"Luffy! How many times have I told you not to scare Lia's cloud? Look, it's floating away again!"
"Hahahaha! This is when you need the great Usopp's lasso. Watch me fire... fire... fire? Whoa! Lia's getting farther and farther away! What do we do? What do we do?!"
On the 36th day since the unknown girl fell from the sky, the captain and first mate who found her exchange a glance. Their familiar combo move is back in action.
This scene has already played out hundreds of times aboard the Going Merry... and it looks like it will continue aboard the Thousand Sunny?
