The fishing rod dipped. Eshiel reeled in his catch at once, only to find himself face-to-face with the companion who had abandoned him.

Eshiel transmigrated twice. The first time, it was to Hallownest, a kingdom in decline, lured by a certain moth deity. He traveled with the Little Knight and successfully defeated the deity who had been secretly controlling the people from behind the scenes.
The second time was to the turbulent world of today. Pirates? Marines? Devil Fruit? Celestial Dragons? I get it, it's you...

Hearing this, Eshiel grinned and stepped forward:
"No mind to think,"
"No will to break,"
"No voice to cry suffering,"
"Born of God and Void,"
"You shall seal the light blinding all, cast into their dreams¹"

The white-haired boy with hair like a jellyfish suddenly shouted and hoisted the round little god-slayer high into the air.
"The great number one of Hallownest!"
Silence fell. At some point, all that remained nearby was the crackling of dying flames and the increasingly heavy breathing from a distance.
He scratched his head, as if remembering something, ignored the Marines lying all around him, and called out to the black-haired boy not far away:
"Yo, Ace! Rouge says come home for dinner."

Before you read:
1. Hollow Knight is a Metroidvania-style action game. The protagonist has no explicit name or personality. This story is full of headcanons, and the protagonist is consistently called the Little Knight.
2. The "number one of Hallownest" bit in the blurb is just a joke. In the official lore, the Little Knight has no gender, so this story refers to it as "it."
3. Contains harem elements. If that's not your thing, read with caution. Sorry, I just love this kind of thing (⊙x⊙;)
4. The pirate storyline changes the timeline, so please don't scrutinize it too closely (bows). It's definitely not because I got hopelessly confused trying to sort out the timeline.
