Xing Qiu is an honest, overworked corporate drone who dies suddenly and finds himself transported into the world of a game he used to play.
His trip is not for nothing: he has a mission. The divine voice tells him to become a saintly do-gooder.
Save all living beings, show compassion to the world, answer every prayer, turn no one away. All he has to ask in return is a tiny, insignificant amount of affection.
Xing Qiu: Become a saintly do-gooder? Seriously? Me?
Because he neglected leveling up, his rating is E, and he is a "useless nobody" about to be fired by the Healer Association for incompetence.
But when he created his character, he maxed out his strength, so one punch from him might kill an association executive.
But then again...
Low-level healers are too incompetent to be of any use? Xing Qiu is the exception.
Anyone driven berserk by corruption gets pinned to the ground by him. He then barges into their mental landscape like a burglar breaking into a house and starts a violent spring-cleaning.
"This is my release... What gives you the right to save me!"
The once-hero collapsed in his arms, howling.
"Falling into darkness was my choice... Mind your own business!"
The Abyssal Lord trembled in humiliation in the crook of his arm.
"I don't want to become a monster... Are you going to take away even my last shred of dignity?"
The stone-faced Chief Judge wept in front of him.
They had been tormented by pain for far too long, and were willing to die to end it.
Die? No way.
A saintly do-gooder like him couldn't stand to let someone die right in front of him.
"Anyway, after this and that, well, they were cured."
Xing Qiu wiped away his sweat, not daring to admit that he'd actually just beaten the problem into submission with a flurry of punches.
He explained things to his clients, then turned around and told them that the pain was normal and that they'd feel better afterward. Yes, just like a massage or bone-setting: once the blockage clears, it stops hurting, and after the pain comes relief.
But as he watched the corners of their eyes flush a gorgeous red, their bodies respond to the treatment with tears, their pupils lose focus and their gazes grow unfocused...
It dawned on Xing Qiu belatedly: Had he used too much force? Why had they all started acting so strange?
Could this be addictive, too? He was running a perfectly legitimate business!
The good news: He forcibly rescued patients who were about to fall into depravity and cured them!
The bad news: Because he forced them so hard, it seemed they had fallen into depravity in other, less wholesome ways!
Those faces, dazed with desire, filled him with foreboding. He had only taken one step back when a burning hand clamped tightly around his ankle, and a multitude of mental entities wound around him.
"Please... have mercy on us..."
Guide:
1. Putting this aside for now; it's in the queue. If you like it, feel free to bookmark it.
2. The idea I want to write is about powerful people on the verge of falling into depravity being forcibly rescued. The protagonist saves them so thoroughly that they end up a complete mess, then fall into depravity in another direction. Delicious!

Theme: Never give up on life lightly.
