Humiliating the Cold, Beautiful Chancellor (Genderbent)

Lan Ruomeng was captivated by Meng He the first time she saw the beautiful boy.

While everyone else was causing trouble for their teacher, Meng He sat quietly to one side with a book, pondering its contents.

When he returned home after class that day, Meng He received an imperial decree ordering him to become the companion reader of Princess Lan Ruomeng, the emperor's most doted-on yet most unruly daughter.

Everyone congratulated Meng He on winning the princess's favor. He just thought they were being noisy.

Years passed, and Lan Ruomeng grew ever more pleased with her companion reader, who obeyed her every command.

As a reward, Lan Ruomeng granted Meng He the honor of becoming her consort, so he could enjoy the same adoring crowds whenever he went out.

But Meng He refused without a moment's thought.

Not only that, he passed the imperial examinations that same year, rising from the princess's companion reader to a high-ranking court official in the Golden Throne Hall.

Their paths diverged.

But Lan Ruomeng never forgot her desire to claim what she wanted.

At her birthday banquet a few years later, the emperor promised to grant her one wish. Without a second thought, Lan Ruomeng set her sights on Meng He, now a chancellor, and demanded that he marry her.

History repeated itself.

That very night, Meng He was carried into the princess's manor.

After nightfall, Lan Ruomeng severed with her sword the red silk sash Meng He had meant to use to take his own life, then wound it around his wrists, loop after loop.

Flickering candlelight glimmered in Meng He's tear-reddened eyes. Thoroughly satisfied, Lan Ruomeng tossed a crumpled official robe onto him and looked down at him. "Chancellor, you have read the sages. How can you not understand that life is but a dream?"

"You were born to serve me. I was merciful enough to make your dream of rising from humble origins come true. Now it's time to wake up."

P.S.:

1. The male lead is a virgin, and both leads have ordinary human anatomy.

2. This is a forced-possession trope. The female lead is the one forcing the relationship from beginning to end, and there is no regret-and-redemption arc.
