My Nightmares Lead to Crime Scenes [The 1980s]

Ling Xiaoque is a third-year student majoring in criminal investigation. After being stabbed to death while coming to a stranger's aid off campus, she transmigrates to the 1980s and becomes a rookie at the Baicheng Police Station.

Every day, she sits around the office with nothing to do. She's not allowed to touch the cases or go along to crime scenes.

A month after reporting for duty, she spends her days either dozing over case files or sleeping over them.

In October, a shocking major case rocks Baicheng. The methods are eerily similar to those used in an unsolved case from three years ago!

Even Ling Xiaoque is sent out. But the moment she arrives at the scene and sees a pot of mangled flesh and bones, she doubles over and vomits.

Her mentor's face darkens as he watches her retch. When she's done, he fishes a blood-red fake fingernail out of the pot and hands it to her.

"I think I know who the victim is."

The victim's head is missing from the scene, and some bones are gone, making it difficult to determine even the victim's build.

Recalling a nightmare she'd had the previous week, Ling Xiaoque describes a young woman in her early thirties, dressed in a yellow skirt and pulling a suitcase as she returns to her hometown to visit family. She leads her colleagues to the original crime scene.

The perpetrator is caught quickly, and the three-year-old cold case is solved.

Everyone assumes Ling Xiaoque got lucky and mistook someone she'd seen before for a figure in her dream.

But after that, the rookie at the police station has one nightmare after another, accurately "seeing" the scenes of serious crimes before they happen.

She repeatedly stops crimes before they can be carried out, saving lives and countless families before tragedy strikes.

Later...

Her mentor and colleagues: "Xiaoque, that dream you had last time... could you dream it again?"
