The Eerie Livestream App

[Blurb]

In 2055, a supernatural livestreaming app appears, plunging the entire world into panic.

In 2060, the authorities compile walkthroughs for most of the app's scenarios.

In 2061, schools add related courses. The supernatural livestreaming app doesn't follow child-protection laws, and children aged 12 and above can be forced to join.

There's no upper age limit. That means that even if you're lucky enough to live to around a hundred, you could still be dragged into the game.

Of course, people that age can't do much, and are all but certain to die.

Fortunately, dying in a scenario doesn't mean dying in real life. But most people who die in a scenario suffer severe psychological trauma, leading them to act irrationally after returning to reality.

So the authorities create a wristband that monitors people's emotional changes.

Every neighborhood gets a newly established government mental health center. As soon as anyone's wristband sends out a data alert, staff are dispatched to help immediately.

The year is 2100.

It has been 45 years since the supernatural livestreaming app appeared.

The general public has more or less accepted it, and can even treat it as a topic of casual conversation.

That year, a livestream called Period appears. At first, no one notices anything unusual about it. In fact, its overly simple name means no one pays it any attention.

That is, until the app announces to the world that a scenario that had been live for three months without anyone clearing it has finally been conquered by this livestream's host.

The stream, which usually has zero viewers, explodes in popularity, sending the Period livestream from the bottom of the rankings into the top ten.

*I've revised this blurb several times and still don't like it, so this probably isn't the final version either. I may revise it again before the story opens TT. But the core idea won't change. The story will definitely revolve around the app, so if you're interested in this kind of story, feel free to add it to your favorites!
