The Glorious Life of Consort Cheng

The good news: I already had a son when I transmigrated.

The bad news: My son was lame, which meant I had no hope of getting promoted.

The good news: Since my son was lame, I probably wouldn't be called to attend the emperor.

The bad news: Since I wouldn't attend him, I had even less chance of a promotion. My lame son was already three and had barely seen his birth father.

Dai Zhaohua sat woodenly in the warm room of a side hall in the Chuxiu Palace. The maids all thought their mistress was angry because the lunch they'd brought over had gone cold and greasy.

But the woman who had become Dai Jia Zhaohua was really just weighing whether to struggle to survive or lie flat.

The heroine, a little devil since childhood, enters the imperial harem and slaughters her way to the top, becoming the emperor's favorite. If the other consorts have something, she wants it too. If they don't have it, she wants that as well.

The pitiful, invisible son, who wouldn't have a part to play even in the struggle among the Nine Dragons, let alone the Nineteen Dragons, transforms into a little devil. If his brothers have something, he wants it too. If they don't... Forget it, he doesn't have to have everything.

The heroine is Consort Cheng in Kangxi's harem. The male lead is her son, Yinyou. He won't ascend the throne or alter the Fourth Prince's fate.

The old Kangxi and the other princes are all supporting characters.

The heroine will strive in the harem, in every sense of the word. There won't be a one-on-one romance (readers who dislike that, beware).

But the heroine will guard her heart. From beginning to end, she knows what she wants.

Theme: Strive on. As long as life goes on, never stop striving.
