Harry Potter: Reborn as Eileen Prince

Pretty clichéd title, right?

Eileen Prince herself can't figure out how she ended up as Eileen Prince. But since there's no going back, kicking the scumbag to the curb and running off with the kids are basic survival skills. As for raising kids, that's definitely not in her skill set, but! She! Can!

As the kids' bargain nanny (x), bargain (x) mom, she'll do whatever it takes for their future!

Severus Snape has his mother (stepfather) alive and well, and friends all around him. He refuses to admit that the ill-dressed, solitary black bat in front of him is also himself.

But he admits that if his mother hadn't come to her senses when he was four, and taken him away from Spinner's End without hesitation, loving him all the while, his life would have been as dim as a bat's.

A reader's guide:

1. Canon pairings are broken up. The heroine is Eileen Prince, and the original male lead is Sperus Lestrange.

2. There are lots of original elements. Severus Snape will change a great deal because of his different experiences. If that bothers you, don't read.

3. This is an impulsive attempt at writing a story about raising kids. I'll do my best to research the canon, but I'm not very experienced. If something doesn't fit the original, it's an original element. Corrections are welcome.

4. There is an outline, and I'm basically not planning to stray from it. Happy ending planned.

Theme: An unhappy childhood takes a lifetime to heal from.
