After an unnamed international criminal organization, later known as the [Black Organization], was completely toppled, one of its executives, a silver-haired assassin with the highest wanted level, codename [Gin], vanished without a trace.
Many people, including the Public Security Bureau and the FBI, tried to use their clearance to access the files, hoping to find out how the assassin escaped from the encirclement.
Until they found a mission record with the highest security clearance.

[Mission number: TS-C-002]
(Note: In the organization's files, TS means top secret, accessible only to the Boss. C means completed, A means impossible to complete, and B means attempted but failed.)
[Mission title: The Fountain of Youth]
(Note: The mission was titled “The Fountain of Youth.” In practice, members using codenames more often referred to it as “Saint-Song Island.”)
[Mission level: non→high→top]
[Mission description:
The organization heard rumors that Saint-Song Island was associated with “mysterious disappearances” and “Otohime,” and dispatched members to investigate.
Most of the outer members went in teams of three. After seven deaths, nine injuries, and two disappearances, a member with a codename took over.
****** (The investigation by the member with a codename is encrypted. Apply separately for clearance.)
The matter was ultimately resolved by Gin, who brought the mastermind, Kamiuchi Riwa, to justice.]
(Note: This investigation was the precondition for [Sherry's disappearance].)
(Note: All records related to Kamiuchi Riwa were destroyed before the organization's annihilation.)
[Person in charge: GIN]
Three English letters, scrawled in an elaborate hand: GIN. That codename belonged to the person they were searching for.
Gin!

After the investigation on Saint-Song Island, Gin, being an assassin, was assigned to observe, document, and report on the person involved, [Kamiuchi Riwa].
A ghostlike being who lived forever in another world, neither aging nor dying, as if she had drunk from the Fountain of Youth.
He knew why the Boss was interested in her, but Gin was more concerned with how dangerous she was: she could not be killed, destroyed, or captured.
His observation reports clearly stated the danger she posed. Unfortunately, human greed was not his to control. After [Kamiuchi Riwa] left Saint-Song Island, her power began to grow without restraint.
A vast power that could even change the past and glimpse the future.
Could anyone truly stand against such a thing?
Gin watched her warily, yet was forced into a life-and-death entanglement with her, until they could no longer be separated.
And so, in the winter of the final battle, he vanished from this world completely.

Reader's Guide:
1. The heroine is neither a god nor a monster. She is a being who exists in both the real and otherworldly realms, much like Alessa in Silent Hill.
2. The story features parallel worlds. Under normal circumstances, the world follows Detective Conan's logic, but certain places have the conditions for otherworldly phenomena to develop.
3. The title is inspired by The Summer Hikaru Died.
Theme: Observation is the first step toward falling in love.
Vodka: Big brother, save me. Gin: Stop arguing and think about how to survive [angry]
