Bad dog vs. wimpy, honest guy
Influencer pastry chef vs. genius esports player

Jiang Tangzhi's next-door neighbor was a top-tier esports star. She was always well-behaved and never followed celebrities. She'd only searched his name online once, before he moved in.
Yu Yang, nineteen years old, the youngest Grand Slam champion in LPL esports history. A genius young esports player, exceptionally handsome, with female fans like grains of sand.
Apart from the first page, all the search results were scandals about him.
"Broke guy pretending to be a rich heir." "Privately contacting fans and sleeping with them." "The most ungrateful guy around, never gives fans gifts or acknowledges them, and treats them like dirt."
"He got into a fight backstage at Worlds and almost got disqualified."

Jiang Tangzhi had thought he was just a bad person, but she hadn't expected him to be a troublemaker, too.
One time, as she passed the stairwell, she heard her husband chatting with him.
Qin Zhaolin took a long drag on his cigarette, looking regretful. "You know how it is. I'm stationed out of town, and Zhizhi gets so lonely. A man just wants a friend who understands him."
Yu Yang's gaze drifted toward the crack in the front door. Then he smiled and gave a slight nod, his long, narrow eyes creasing with agreement.
"True."
Jiang Tangzhi discovered messages of her husband flirting with a female coworker.
In that same stairwell, Qin Zhaolin handed Yu Yang a cigarette and confided in him.
"It's not that I want to betray Zhizhi, but we've been apart so long. I'm a man, so I have needs, right? But my heart is definitely with Zhizhi."
Yu Yang took the cigarette he offered, his brow lowered. He gave a lazy, wicked smile.
"I understand."

Later, when RT Team took the trophy to the Worlds stage once again, the roar of the crowd filled the arena.
A reporter held out a microphone to the most popular man there, though his reputation had long since collapsed, and asked about a topic that had recently set the esports community ablaze.
"Vain, how do you respond to the recent rumors linking you to a married woman outside the esports scene?"
Yu Yang raised his eyes slightly, gave a faint scoff, and coldly uttered a few words.
"She's divorced."
The entire arena fell silent for a moment. Determined to get a scoop, the reporter continued.
"But that woman was photographed still wearing her wedding ring. She's clearly someone else's wife."
Yu Yang paused for two seconds, then suddenly gave the camera a playful smile, as if looking through the lens at someone.
"Then has this 'someone else's wife' told your husband?"
"About us."
Reader's guide:
The heroine is already divorced when she and the hero get together.
The hero's career won't feature much. He's not based on a real person, and many details are original to the author. Don't draw parallels to real life or start drama.
Warning!!!! The hero has a seriously low moral compass. If that's not your thing, please don't read.
The heroine is socially anxious, a people-pleaser, and easy to bully. If you dislike that, don't read!!!!!!!
The heroine is not a virgin. The hero is a virgin in body and heart. The fan-sleeping rumor is false. The heroine is divorced, and her husband cheated first. Don't judge the heroine.
One more reminder: neither lead is a moral paragon, and both have flaws. Especially the hero, whose moral compass is rock bottom. Read with caution if that bothers you.
The hero is 19, the heroine is 27, with an 8-year age gap. If that's not your thing, don't read.
