[Showbiz] Only Look at Me

In 2006, two stars of Korean entertainment burst onto the scene: BigBang leader G-Dragon and independent musician Xia Tian'en.

Debuting at 17, she swept the three major Korean music shows with her solo album. The title track, “I Am Never Satisfied,” stayed at the top of the charts for 72 days. No major groups dared to make a comeback against her, and she sparked a wave of “Only Xia Tian'en” worship that summer.

Just when people thought Xia Tian'en would keep releasing albums, she headed to America on a whim after making an offhand remark. For five consecutive years, she released an album right on schedule every summer. Her original songs struck straight to the heart, overcame Western prejudice, and earned her a Grammy for Album of the Year.

In 2011, Xia Tian'en returned home in glory. A thousand fans showed up at the airport of their own accord, causing unprecedented congestion and forcing it to close for two hours.

After returning, Xia Tian'en was photographed partying at countless nightclubs, surrounded by handsome young men. She drank, danced, and smoked, and went out with her friend GD. One brazen photo of her flipping off the camera shocked Korea.

But even someone as carefree as Xia Tian'en ultimately lost her heart to one person.

Her friend G-Dragon's firstborn daughter: Lee Joo-hyuk.

G-Dragon asked Xia Tian'en more than once why she refused to give up on his friend.

Xia Tian'en raised her brows slightly, licked her lips, and answered as if it were obvious: “Because he's handsome.”

He was so handsome it made her heart itch and her blood race. So she could only claim him for herself!
