After Pretending to Be Pregnant with the Frail Crown Prince's Child

Ling Yu was a decisive and ruthless assassin who had never failed in three years.

Until he received a mission that wasn't to kill someone, but to steal a jade pendant.

To complete it, he pretended to be pregnant with the Fourth Prince's child and used the story to sneak into the prince's residence.

Fortunately, the Fourth Prince was frail and currently unconscious. The imperial physician had declared that he might not live through the winter.

With a child on the way, Ling Yu outranked everyone in the residence except the unconscious prince.

He felt his way over the Fourth Prince's entire body while wiping him down, searched the whole bathhouse while helping him bathe, and scoured the study while reading to him...

Apart from failing to complete his mission, life in the prince's residence was quite comfortable.

If only he weren't standing face-to-face with the man in front of him.

The man's gaze swept over his slightly rounded belly, a smile playing on his lips. "I hear you're carrying my child?"

Though Zhu Yin lay in bed unable to open his eyes or speak, he could feel everything very clearly.

This audacious man, who claimed to be carrying his child, kept touching him inappropriately and had made him suffer intensely more than once.

Once he woke up, he would punish this man who didn't know his place.

Zhu Yin held his chin, his voice gentle and coaxing.

"Good. Eat it all up. That's the only way you'll get pregnant with my child."

Looking at his ever-growing belly, Ling Yu regretted it. If only he'd come up with a different excuse to sneak in. Now he'd lost far more than he'd gained.

# Wasn't he supposed to be frail? Why is he getting stronger the more we go at it?

# Shh, get pregnant soon or they'll find out.

# I'll never tell a lie like that again. He really will eat me alive! Speaking from experience!!!

A short story set in an alternate world.
