[Dream of the Red Chamber | Qing Dynasty] The Lin Family's Eldest Daughter (Not a Transmigration)

Lin Shuyu was born in the third year of Lin Ruhai and Jia Min's marriage. No other children were born into the Lin family for many years. Then, when she was eleven, Jia Min gave birth to fraternal twins, Lin Daiyu and Lin Zheng.

But with a younger brother and sister in the family, Shuyu could no longer spend as much time with them or fulfill her duties to her parents.

That was because she was thirteen that year and had to enter the selection for the imperial harem.

Female lead: Lin Shuyu;

Male lead: Fourth Prince Yinzhen.

Reading Guide:

1. The female lead will be the primary consort. (The Manchu Linjia clan of the Plain White Banner is an original setting.) Given the historical context and social realities, the leads will not be in a one-on-one relationship. However, the Fourth Prince will dote on Lin Shuyu more than anyone else, and his feelings for her will be genuine. Their romance will gradually deepen at a slow pace, with a few twists and turns.

2. Lin Shuyu has feelings for the Fourth Prince and will help him in his struggle for the throne later in the story, but she will always guard her own heart and won't give him everything.

3. The female lead is not a modern person who transmigrates. She is a pure-blooded woman from ancient times! However, she isn't old-fashioned. She's steady, intelligent, and perceptive.

4. The broad strokes of the Jia family's story won't change. For example, Jia Yuanchun will still be bestowed the title of... Consort by Kangxi. However, when it makes sense for the plot, the female lead will save a few characters the author likes.
