Synopsis
Introduction: (I currently have a little over 31,000 words saved up. I write a bit slowly, so please bear with me, my dears. Love you!)
Coming soon: Don't Wrong a Ghost! Urban folk-horror, paranormal ghosts and monsters, an arrogant but adorable dragon × a young Taoist con artist. [Nonhuman character-raising story] The blurb is at the very bottom. My angel babies, please add it to your collection if you like it. Many thanks and kisses.
About this novel: An ensemble cast. A group of young people with ulterior motives put on acts for one another. In the end, they all reveal their true selves, and the six form a team to usher in a new era.
Main blurb:
The seas reversed their flow, energy ran out, and strange beasts roamed the land...
Human civilization came to an end.
As one of humanity's lucky few, Li Yue entered a higher-dimensional civilization, where people were known as the Heaven-Blessed.
To survive, he enrolled in military school and became the lowest-ranked "trash" in the whole academy.
But trash piles up eventually, and the academy's six remaining trash students formed a team!
A puppet with an instinctive fear of death,
A half-blind man who claimed to be a fortune-telling master,
A violent idiot who couldn't tell friend from foe,
A weakling who fainted at the sight of blood,
A jerk who thought he was the coolest man alive,
And a lazybones always ready to quit.
Their missions never stopped. They jumped between planets, went on adventures, awakened their potential, and fought bizarre, unpredictable species, surviving by the skin of their teeth.
Li Yue stared at the sky, speechless. But the scariest thing was that the team's only lazybones was pressing the most primitive of daggers to his lower back, threatening him in a low voice: "Don't move. If I stab you, I won't be able to pull it out."
Later, Li Yue wished the thing stabbing him had been a dagger!
Qi Lianzhou had somehow ended up teamed with a bunch of losers. He was always thinking of quitting and going home, but then he realized his trash teammates weren't what they seemed.
No matter how powerful their opponents were in the arena, the team always survived some freak accident, while their enemies died in gruesome ways.
So everyone had been pretending.
But what interested him most was Li Yue, the supposedly cowardly one.
He cornered Li Yue and threatened him. Li Yue wasn't afraid in the least, but pretended to cry in fright.
With a sneer, Qi Lianzhou lifted his chin. "Why squeeze out tears when you've got none?"
Later... he found out how wrong he was.
He teased, "So that's where you were hiding them... But it really is a tight fit."
Little scene:
After all six revealed their true selves in the arena, they confessed their backgrounds when they returned to the team.
When asked how many people they had killed before hiding out at military school, all six raised one finger.
Later, when they revealed themselves for a second time, the six realized they'd given a number but not a unit.

Blurb for the alluring ghost dragon who feeds on vital energy:
[Before you read: An enormous size difference between a long-armed dragon and a 189-cm-tall young Taoist. Hehe, drooling yet?]
Lang Yu was the only dragon to become a spirit after the founding of the country. Heaven's darling, he became a spirit as soon as he hatched.
Unfortunately, the moment he opened his eyes, he encountered a battle between great demons. He had been hatched for less than the time it takes to burn a stick of incense before he became a wandering ghost.
The good news: he could feed on resentment, gather merit, and rebuild his dragon body. The bad news: he needed a cultivator who had never had sex to help rebuild it.
Lang Yu looked at the masters on the street swindling people and the masters in temples with messy private lives, and sighed helplessly. "...This is so hard."
Lin Huaizhou came from a family of folk Taoists, passed down through three generations. During his sophomore summer vacation, he had nothing to do, so his father sent him to help someone relocate a grave. After he subdued a ghost, a mass of indistinct white mist that called itself the Dragon God wrapped around him.
The sky darkened and mist filled the air. A young man's voice rang out: "I am the Dragon God. Will you offer me your golden essence?"
Lin Huaizhou raised an eyebrow and smiled. This was an alluring ghost, a chance encounter meant to make him lose his yang essence. No wonder his father had said he was due for a romantic calamity.
He came up with a plan. "Sure. Then come with me." He would keep this alluring ghost under constant supervision. If it showed any sign of trouble, he would get rid of it.
The little dragon was a ghost, but completely harmless. He could take human form, and was as beautiful and innocent as could be, with red lips and white teeth. Whenever an animal, plant, or person ran into trouble, he would use what little magical power he had to help. He was kind and naive.
Lin Huaizhou watched from the side with a dry smile. An illusion.
Later, Lin Huaizhou accidentally got tainted with a vengeful ghost's resentment, and Lang Yu was so worried that he cried.
He comforted the little dragon. "It's all right. Don't cry."
Unexpectedly, the little dragon suddenly took human form, leaped into his arms, and pressed their lips together, kissing him frantically and without any technique, full of worry.
At last, he curled up in Lin Huaizhou's arms, eyes red and glistening with tears, and asked with concern, "Senior brother, are you feeling better?"
Lin Huaizhou coaxed him softly, his voice hoarse. "Be good, little dragon. Just a little more."
... (A friendly reminder: the dragon's true nature...)
After Lang Yu and Lin Huaizhou got together, Lang Yu had always had one wish: to give birth to a little dragon for him.
With the help of Lin Huaizhou's younger uncle, Lang Yu bought a dragon egg with no signs of life.
That day, Lang Yu followed the instructions and put the egg in the incubator, but accidentally hit the remote control.
He was in agony, his eyes red, and called Lin Huaizhou with a sob.
When Lin Huaizhou hurried home, he saw a little dragon writhing and crying on his bed, whimpering at him.
Lin Huaizhou took a deep breath, scooped up the damp little dragon, and stroked his tail. "Be good, little dragon. Your senior brother will help you."
Little scenes:
(1):
When Lang Yu first took human form, he couldn't control his dragon horns and tail, and they would pop out from time to time.
Luckily, his senior brother always quickly straightened his Taoist robe and adjusted his Taoist hat.
But his senior brother always kept touching him for ages, until Lang Yu could barely stand.
(2):
Lin Huaizhou's father warned him, "Alluring ghosts suck out your vital energy."
Lin Huaizhou nodded gravely. "They do, of course. But it's not in a gaseous state. It's liquid!"
Lin Huaizhou's father: ...
(3):
Ever since Lang Yu learned to feed on the resentment in people's bodies, Lin Huaizhou would mysteriously get tainted with resentment.
Lang Yu was naturally more than happy to help his senior brother.
But one day, he suddenly saw his senior brother cornering an evil ghost and threatening it. "Give me some resentment."
Lang Yu: ...?!
Note: Just so you know in advance, the blurb above is the wholesome version. The actual story is a folk-horror series made up of several episodic stories, such as a male ghost pinning someone in bed, returning to life in another's corpse, lighting a lamp in a haunted house to find a replacement, a water ghost demanding shoes, and a haunted building. I have over 100,000 words saved up now, but I'm so scared that I write very slowly. It will probably be a while before I start posting. If you like it, please add it to your collection first. Thank you, my dears.
Theme: Captain, someone's daring to provoke us
