Junior Sister, You've Ruined Me

The fox demon Liu Zhao becomes a disciple at Xuantian Spirit Mountain to save someone.

Her goal is to take the bones and blood of her senior brother, Shen Helang.

Shen Helang, the first disciple of Spirit Mountain, comes from a distinguished family. He is noble and principled, and looks after his junior sister Liu Zhao. The two spend their days together, overcoming one challenge after another.

Until the day of the sect tournament, when Liu Zhao turns her sword against him.

Shen Helang looks down at the Xuangguang Sword in his chest. He can't even feel the pain. He feels lost.

As if he had woken from a dream and done nothing at all, only for Liu Zhao to suddenly turn her blade against him.

His good junior sister.

Her Xuangguang Sword should not have been able to hurt him, but he hadn't been on guard in the slightest.

Her sword pierces his chest with ease.

"Liu Zhao." He looks at her, bewildered.

Her hair ribbon flutters in the wind. The world seems to stand still for several breaths. He can't hear anyone else. He can't hear Liu Zhao either.

She only gazes at him quietly, though it is as if she isn't looking at him at all.

Then the clamor around them floods back into his ears.

The spectators on Spirit Mountain are bewildered, frightened, and angry.

Shen Helang stares blankly as bright red blood spreads across his white Daoist robes.

"Why?" He looks up at her, finally finding his voice.

Liu Zhao's expression doesn't change. She shows neither fear nor guilt.

Liu Zhao's eyes slowly turn purple.

A purple glow gradually surrounds her, and demonic energy curls around her like clouds.

The ribbon on her head snaps, and her long hair drifts in the demonic aura.

Liu Zhao is a demon.

So Liu Zhao really is a demon, Shen Helang thinks.

Blood trickles down the Xuangguang Sword, drop by drop.

He stubbornly asks again, "Why?"

"Junior Sister, haven't I treated you well?"

He hears Liu Zhao's voice. "You've certainly treated me well, Senior Brother. But you're no different with me than you are with everyone else. You care about the whole world and treat everyone equally well. Your Dao heart is clear and pure. No wonder they chose you."
