My Contract Marriage Partner Is Trying to Lure Me Again

[Reclusive, slow-witted researcher bottom × narcissistic boss top who flirts on the sly and has never gotten so much as a glance from his husband]

Zhang Chen was a loner and assumed he would grow old alone, until his mother “sold” him to a stranger and he signed a six-month marriage contract.

The contract repeatedly emphasized that he must not initiate contact. Breaking it would incur a penalty ten times the amount.

On the day his new boss arrived, he was stunned. Why was it him?

A boss was still just a boss. They wouldn’t interact outside work.

He worked diligently during the day and retreated to his bedroom at night, doing his best not to bother anyone.

After half a month of living together, he hadn’t even run into his husband.

But one night, he went to the kitchen for a snack and got cornered in front of the fridge. The other man said coldly, “I’m straight. Don’t seduce me.”

Zhang Chen stammered, “I-I’m straight too...”

Ever since the cold-blooded boss took over, Zhang Chen, an invisible little nobody, had suddenly been “entrusted with important duties.” His coworkers rushed to curry favor with him, bringing snacks, filling in his spreadsheets, and offering to call in sick for him. They all had the same unusual request: get him to spend time with that smiling tiger of a boss.

Every time he came out of the office, his expression was exceptionally calm.

Coworker A: “Did he get yelled at? No, the boss never yells at him.”

Coworker B: “I saw the boss tie his shoelaces with my own eyes!”

Coworker C: “Are those matching diamond rings?”

Zhang Chen covered his ears. “It’s all coincidence! The boss was just helping out! The ring is to humor his family!”

On the night the contract expired, he happily rolled his suitcase out the door, only to be lifted up and carried back to bed.

He reminded him with a trembling voice, “Y-you’re straight...”

The man bit the tip of his ear. “But my husband is so cute, I think I’m turning gay.”
