But why were the things that happened to both her real self and her secret identities so ridiculous? She could be strolling down the street when a bunch of people, and not-quite-people, would leap out and shout, "Come join the jujutsu sorcerers!" "You've got the makings of a fine curse user. And so each secret identity became highly sought after by a different faction. By the end, the secret identities that had started out as blank slates had become: "Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer," "Wicked Elder of the Jujutsu World," "Tyrant," and "A new life-form surpassing both humans and cursed spirits." With a whole pile of wages in hand, Yue Jianlan fell into thought. Something seemed off. Come to think of it, the System had told her to save the world, but she'd been having too much fun and had completely forgotten the mission. The System, even more carried away than its Host: "The mission was completed ages ago! Now let's set sail for a new world and have some fun!"
